The Zion Park Motel at 865 Zion Park Boulevard is the motel that has stood along Springdale's original highway the longest at an affordable price. The Young Family operated it continuously from 1972 until September 2024, when they passed ownership to a new family, adding up to more than five decades under family stewardship. The building is single-story, constructed from brick, stucco, and stonework, with parking assigned directly in front of every room and a covered outdoor sitting area outside each unit. The views from those sitting areas are of the Zion canyon walls, the same red sandstone formations visible from inside the park. The shuttle stop for the free Zion Canyon Shuttle is directly across the street. Springdale sits at the south entrance to Zion National Park, a canyon town that grows to thousands of daily visitors in peak season.
What Zion Park Motel Is Known For
What the Zion Park Motel offers that most Springdale lodging does not is simple and significant: every room has its own parking spot at the door, the shuttle crosses the street to the park, and guests can leave the car for the duration. After checkout on departure day, guests can still leave the car at the motel and take one more shuttle trip into the park before heading home. This is a practical combination that solves the most concrete logistical problem Zion visitors face, which is parking.
