The renovation leaned into what the building already was: a classic California motor hotel with rooms surrounding a courtyard pool, a neighborhood location without tourist pressure, and the particular ease of Point Loma between the bay and the ocean at the western edge of San Diego. Sandy beach tones, organic fabrics, terrazzo bathrooms, and local ceramics give every room a coherent point of view.
