About Arka Motel
The building dates to the mid-century roadside era, a simple cinderblock motel serving travelers near Beaver Lake. Its current owners took it down to the studs in 2024, a renovation captured on HGTV's Fixer to Fabulous, and rebuilt it as a design-forward lakeside motel. The mid-century lines were kept and celebrated, then paired with new kitchens, baths, and grounds.
What Arka Motel Is Known For
It would have been simpler to level an old cinderblock motel than to save it. Instead the owners kept its mid-century soul and gave it a genuine design renovation, and the result is a small, characterful, trail-and-lake retreat that guests rave about and return to.

The Room
Rooms are done in a warm mid-century-modern style, spacious and uncluttered, each with a kitchenette, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee, a big TV, and comfortable beds. The two-bedroom suite adds a lake view and room for a group.
The Grounds
The grounds are built for a lake weekend. There is a seasonal pool, two separate fire-pit areas with Adirondack chairs and string lights and firewood provided, and dedicated boat parking. Best of all, a mountain-bike trail begins right on the property and links into the Ozark riding the region is known for.

Arka sits above Beaver Lake near Prairie Creek Marina, a launching point for boating, paddling, and fishing, and it is only a short drive to downtown Rogers and to Bentonville, the mountain-biking capital of the region, with the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and hundreds of miles of trails.
